Hey everyone, does anyone know the name of the beach we will be racing at this weeked, or even an address or street name it's on? I could not find anything on the website about it! Thanks!

I am wondering also. Is there a boat launch that we can use?

I don't know how to post maps, so bear with me here.

Go to mapquest and find beloit. Zoom in a bit and find the corner of 4th and Maple. The site is on the SE corner of 4th & Maple. You'll see 5 tennis courts just to the south of the site. The site is basically a boat ramp and parking area with rip rap wall. There appears to be a small amount of grassy area, but not much. The boat ramp is paved and looks nice. I believe Scott plans to put the starting gate in front of where the tennis courts are.

Looks like Scott updated his site recently.

Thanks for the help. I had a map link before, but it got lost in the last couple of updates. It's up now with the ability to put in your address to get directions from your house. Rockfest is going on that weekend so get your pass to hear all the bands. $5.00 for the day, looks like the music starts at 5:00pm each day so after the races check it out.

Alright here is the next question. What is the shorline like? Will we be able to use beach stands or does it drop off to fast for them?

I asked Scott that a few weeks ago, and he said some of it is sand and some mud - but that stands should work if you stay real close to the rip rap. However, being a river guy myself, I know how much levels can fluctuate. Zig can probably say how high the Rock is right now, but who really knows for sure till we get to the site?

I'm also wondering how much room there will be for our ez-ups/pits?

This site will have some challenges, nothing that you can't overcome. $5.00 gets you a Shi-Ton of bands after the races. By the way I just saw the show with this old perv fu-ker in it. I think its time for the person who put this up to make the change. homo.....

Is there going to be spots for tents and all our other pit crap? Is everyone still bringing quads and carts still?

I was told the waters edge is rough....all rocks? Stands may not work...may have to launch for your motos. Quads may save the day again.

Just bring your tennis racquet instead. We're implementing a 1 moto, 1 set system this weekend. Foot faults will be penalized via a dead engine start...

Race site is less than 1.5 hours away from home, so we will just drive back and back on Sunday. I just got my racket restrung...you guys will be in for some fast serves...lol

The shore line is shallow so beach stands will work fine. Just no sandy river edge, the ramp is large so you have room to use that.
P.S. you all sound a little Sallyish some times. J, you sure can find some different pic's.

Are we allowed to set up our pit tents in the grass? Just asking don't want to get in trouble for something little.

We are looking to save the $$$ on a hotel room...just heard my job might be gone in 30 days, and Gas is free for me, so I don't mind putting on the miles. We will hang out after the race and have some beers...they are already on ice. Will just have Julie drive home for me!

Race site to home driveway in waterford = 53 minutes flat.

14 year old son to help me unload in 18 more minutes = priceless.

Feet up on the recliner holding my granddaughter in one hand and my blackberry in the other = beyond priceless.

Ed, you still drivin' :)???

Joe, you still in the parking lot drinkin' beer, mmm-deelish???
