I just picked up a bunch of aftermarket and stock Wave Blaster stuff yesterday (had to buy all of it to get the stuff I wanted), and I'm still sorting through some of it, but I'll be selling some stuff asap. I'm listing it here first before posting it at "politicalargumentsallday.com" (pwctoday) or eBay.

Here's what I know I'll have to sell so far:

(All prices are picked up by me, or contact me and we'll figure out something for delivery/shipping.)

Riva red pipe (manifold and chamber) for Blaster. Really nice shape. Tapped for dual cooling already. $250.

UMI Blaster handlebars w/crossbar pad. Anodizing and pad cover are faded, but they're not bent and are still in very functional shape. $40.

OEM Blaster handlebar switch assembly (fits many other Yamis as well). $30.

Yamaha suspension steering system. This is the "aftermarket" steering system that was sold in Yamaha packaging by Yamaha dealers way back when. It's far nicer than the OEM system, but not as nice as the UMI. It uses a very beefy bushing up top. It's currently installed on my Blaster, but I just picked up a used UMI, so I'm swapping them out and selling this suspension system. I actually like the suspension system a lot (keeps my wrists from hurting as much as w/o it), and if you don't like the suspension effect, the spring could be replaced with a solid tubular "spacer" instead, and you'll have a "fixed" system that functions much like a UMI and looks way better than stock. It also has 3 positions for the cable ball to be installed, so you can tune your steering feel. I've been running it in the middle position, and it was a significant improvementin steering precision over the OEM system. $100.

OEM Blaster hood. Off of a 1995, bottom half is red, upper is purple. A few gouges around the edges/corners, but no cracks. No hardware included. Very functional. $50.

I have a nearly new DG Outlaw toploader scoop grate on my Blaster right now, that I'll be replacing with a JD I just picked up. The DG fits Super Jets as well. $50 for the DG.

Lastly, for now, I have a 144mm pump reduction nozzle. It's the type from a Wave Raider, that needs to use the trim ring along with the steering nozzle. I only have the reduction nozzle itself, no trim ring or steering nozzle. $20.

I haven't taken any pics yet, but I will if needed. You guys know I don't sell junk (unless I say it's junk ahead of time [:p])...

what is the width and bend on the bars?

Width is 26", height is 3.25". Not sure on the bend, but comparing them to the 4 degree bars I run on all my stand-ups, I'd say these are 6 degree. These are the same UMI bars I run on my blaster, and most blasters that I've ridden - and I know a lot of guys run these bars on x2s as well.

I was hoping they were a little wider. I am looking for something in the area of 30".

Oh and before someone else gets the chance. THAT IS WHAT SHE SAID.

Couple options:
I've got a set of stock bars from a raider you could have. I don't have them with me to measure this minute, but they've gotta be wider - but the angle and height is probably wrong anyhow (is this for your x2 or ultra?).

Or, I've got lots of sets of stock SJ bars. I'd give you a set to go with the UMI's. You could easily cut 2" off each end of the stockers, and extend these UMI bars with a short piece of aluminum tubing acting as an internal "sleeve" inside the ends. Many ways to secure everything: welding, jb weld, set screws w/heads ground off after installation. The grips would cover everything and hold it all together perfectly anyhow.

Just depends how much you wanna dink around versus how much the bars you really want cost to buy.

they would be for the ultra. I just wanted to see since I could save $25 buying these over new. For the extra money I think I will just buy instead of dicken around.

I don't blame you, and I'm a cheap Pollock...

I'm leaning towards pulling the crossbar and pad off these anyhow, for use on my backup ski or my son's SJ. We'll see. Unless someone needs them to build a sport spec blaster.
